KSP Post 15 Activity Report for January, 2013

Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY

COLUMBIA, KY - During the month of January 2013, there were 16 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were two fatals during the month of January in the Post 15 area:
  • Downey, Glenda, of Jamestown was killed in Adair Co KY on 01/21/13.
  • Jones, Willie L, of Edmonton was killed in Metcalfe Co KY on 01/23/13.
This brings our yearly fatality count to 2 compared with 3 through this same period in 2012. State wide fatality count stands at 42 compared with 57 through this same period in 2012.



During the month of January 2013, there were 1112 citations written, 249 courtesy notices written, 1132 vehicles inspected, 666 complaints answered, 68 motorists assisted, 53 criminal cases opened and 217 criminal arrests made.
