Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park, 6371 State Park Road, Burkesville, KY had the No. 7 ranked course in the state of Kentucky, for 2013-14, according to Gold Digest Magazine. The magazine ranked another state park course, Eagle Ridge at Yatesville Lake State Park, Louisa, KY, as No. 10. The Cumberland County and Lawrence County courses were the only two public links in the top 10.

Dale Hollow is the home course for Cumberland County High School, Burkesville, KY, and is frequently used as a multi-team meet venue for many area golf teams.

Golf Digest ranked courses on criteria such as course design, aesthetics, and scoring difficulty.
