Comment: It's gonna get hit Big rig driver warns of dangers of being in the way at the wrong time, suggests ways to prevent accidents. John Campbell writes: As a big rig driver, its difficult enough to maneuver through our town (since I live on East 80 I have no choice but to come that way). There seems to be an ongoing scheme for a certain business to put their product closer and closer to the roadway. This could spell an unfortunate incident for both business and unaccustomed operators of any vehicle. We all noticed the flaw in the design of an unnamed pharmacy at this same intersection recently which resulted in having to do away with the grassy curb and replacing it with a paved curb. Thanks, John Campbell: Good point. If the public is made more aware of ways to help truckers do their very important jobs with less stress and more safely. Trucking and truck driving is a major economic factor. - EW This story was posted on 2013-02-07 10:06:09
