Adair Unit, Salvation Army thanks its volunteers Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Ellen Zornes The Salvation Army held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Adair Annex. Many of our Christmas Kettle Bell Ringers and Angel Tree volunteers attended and were recognized for their help this past season. Without our volunteers and donors, we wouldn't be able to provide needed help for our community. You are greatly appreciated! The Salvation Army is a nationally recognized nonprofit Christian charitable organization. Locally its focus is meeting community needs through various programs, including Fire Assistance, Angel Tree, Senior Angels, Summer Camp, Christmas Kettles and Local Disaster Relief. The Adair County Unit meets at 9amCT, the first Tuesday of each month in the Courthouse Annex basement, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. Anyone interested in becoming a member may join by attending any monthly meeting. - Ellen Zornes This story was posted on 2013-02-05 16:09:44
