Mrs. Nannie Morine Walker York, of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Loyd H. Walker and Virgie Florence Walker, was born on January 16, 1935 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was 78 years and 16 days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Nannie Morine Walker York will be conducted at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Ward Cemetery. Bro. Greg Whitlow will be officiating. Visitation is requested 5pm-9pmCT/6pm-10pmET, Sunday, February 3, 2013, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT/8amET, Monday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Josh Judd, Anthony Campbell, Darryl Young, Rod Davis, Brian Landis, and Tim Shuffett.

Mrs. Nannie Morine Walker York was the daughter of the late Loyd H. Walker and Virgie Florence Walker. She was born on Wednesdaym January 16, 1935 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Friday, February 1, 2013 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. She was 78 years and 16 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a retired sewing machine operator.

She united in marriage to Cecil York on June 12, 1965 who preceded her in death on April 4, 2004.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three daughters and sons in law: Barbara and Rod Davis, Amy and Darryl Young, and Martha and Brian Landis all of Greensburg, KY

  • A son and daughter in law: Daniel and Rebecca York of Greensburg, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. York was also preceded in death by a brother: Eugene Walker on October 14, 2012.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
