She was the matriarch of a highly regarded Taylor County, KY. Her marriage to R.D. Stiles endured over 47 years until his death in 1988. She leaves 6 direct living descendants. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom

Dalena Stiles, 91, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 1:30amET, Thursday, January 31, 2013 in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services are 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Dr. James Jones. Burial will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitatation is 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral Home.


Dalena Stiles, Taylor Co., KY (1921-2013)

Dalena Stiles was the daughter of the late Shelby Peters and Josie Bryant Peters. She was born Sunday, May 22, 1921, in Taylor County, KY. She died Thursday, January 31, 2013 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 91 years, 8 months, and 9 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.

She united in marriage to R. D. Stiles December 25, 1941. He preceded her in death November 30, 1988.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and two daughters: Roger Stiles and wife, Connie; Linda Stiles and Debbie Stiles of Campbellsville, KY

  • One granddaughter: Tiffany Lyons and husband, Adam of Eddyville, KY

  • Two great grandchildren: Quinn Lyons and Campbell Lyons

  • Two sisters in law, Frances Peters and Nancy Stiles of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters, Sheridan Peters, Kay Matich and Geneva Barnett.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
