News from Lindsey Wilson College

BLUEFIELD, VA - There was too much Tequila McNeal and not enough offense from Lindsey Wilson College as Bluefield (VA) earned a 70-61 win at home on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Dome Gymnasium.

Jasmine Brimm tallied a team-best 20 points for the Blue Raiders and Ashley Rainey and Kasey Litzinger chipped in with 11 each. Rainey also pulled down eight rebounds, but the Rams won the battle on the glass 38-34.

McNeal led all scorers with 26 points and Ram Janee Simmons led the game with 14 rebounds as the duo took control of the game to beat Lindsey Wilson for the first time in school history. The Blue Raiders led the all-time series 8-0. On Sunday, the Blue Raiders never gained a lead in the game. - Dan White
