Adair Schools receive great news on bond refinancing

A $203,346 additional benefit to refinancing than originally projected

Special ColumbiaMagazine.com news bulletin

COLUMBIA, KY (January 24, 2013; 10:24amCT) Adair County School Superintendent Alan W. Reed has received notice from the district's financial consultant, Joe Nance of the firm Ross, Sinclaire, & Associates that the bonds will be sold at a lower rate than the firm had estimated. Ross, Sinclaire had based the re-financing proposal on figures with a bond lifetime savings of $591,618, but, based on the low bid of 1.96% yield, the bond lifetime savings will actually be $794,964. The bonds will close February 5, 2013, Superintendent Reed said.
