Jobless rates better 2012 over 2011 - down in all 7 area counties

Jobless Rates in the CM 7-County Area, December 2012
Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor Counties
  1. Taylor Co., down from 8.2% jobless 2011 to 7.2% in 2012
  2. Casey Co., down from 8.6% jobless 2011 to 7.5% in 2012)
  3. Adair Co., down from 8.7% jobless 2011 to 7.7% in 2012
  4. Green Co., down from 8.4% jobless 2011 to 7.6% in 2012
  5. Metcalfe Co., down from 8.8% jobless 2011 to 8.4% in 2012
  6. Russell Co., down from 9.8% jobless 2011 to 9.0% in 2012
  7. Cumberland Co., down from 10.6% jobless 2011 to 10.4% in 2012
Rates for the Lake Cumberland Area Development improved from 9.9% jobless rate in 2011 to 8.9 in 2012. The Statewide Kentucky rate improved from 8.6% to 7.6%. Nationally, the rate was 7.6% for December, 2012.
