COF: Opinion from KU Roundtable on Knifley Crossroads

By The COF

Saw your query 'bout the proper eddy-cut et the Crossroads.

The KU Roundtable had a good laff o'er thet one! No one here could ratly 'member ennyone actually agoing THRU the crossin'.

Iffen two or more folks wuz to meet they jest stop in the middle en pass howdy en ketch themselves up on the latest. Proper protocall is for both drivers to get out en lean on one of the trucks fenders or the side of the bed whilst solving the worlds problems. Coarse iffen they be ridin' horses they jest kinda gentle up long side o each other to accomplish the same purpose.

We tried accomadating Canadian Tour Busses en the like by puttin' up a Stop Sign but they jest don't seem ta unnerstan the way of it. They stop afore they git inta the innersection en while y\'ar a sittin' thar in the middle awaitin' fer em ta git out en palaver, they jest sit thar a wavin' thar hans, aflailin' thar arms en finally raisin a ruckus with them horns, till finally the locals usually jest move on in disscust.

It presents a colorful sitsheashun iffen some locals are already behavin proper in the crossin\' en a tourister comes on the scene. After a sutable time for the outsider to git the hang of thangs - en they still don't git it thar seems ta be a universal reaction on thar part but this bein a fambly oriented publikation the Board felt hit not proper ta go inta thet aspect.
