William Karstetter age 60 of Adair County, KY, died suddenly Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Lake Cumberland Medical Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 25, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bill Horne the officiating clergy. Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. The family requests visitation after 3:30pmCT/4:30pmET, on Thursday January 24, 2013 at the funeral home.



William (Bill) Karstetter, Russell Springs, KY (1952-2013)


He was born Wednesday, December 24, 1952, in Janesville, Rock County, WI. He was the son of Frank William Karstetter, who survives, and the late Carol Brennecka Marsh, He died Monday, January 21, 2013, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 60 years, 28 days.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Neuwirth Karstetter, and the following:
  • His father: Frank William Karstetter of Beloit, Wisconsin

  • One son: Michael Karstetter, Rockford, IL;

  • Two daughters: Deborah Fairbanks and husband Chadwick and Cheryl Karstetter both of Salt Lake City, Utah

  • One step son and two step daughters: James Doyle and wife Carol of Columbia, KY; Susie Doyle of Rockford, Illinois; and Renee Lozano and husband: Juan of Pasadena, California

  • Four sisters: Carolyn Finley, Clara Knudson, Susan Yeomans and Ruth Martin all of Wisconsin

  • Two grandchildren
Mr. Karstetter was employed by Bruss North America in Russell Springs, KY, KY and was the owner of K's Coin Laundry in Columbia, KY
