Commends library board for considering different hours

Writer favors evening hours. She writes, 'Please vote for the new library hours to increase access to the library for all members of our community.'

Margo Miller writes:
Adair County has a wonderful resource in our local library. It is a shame that many citizens working normal business hours don't have an opportunity to take advantage of this service their tax dollars support. I think it is important that the library be open at least one evening a week for those who are unable to visit Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm, or on Saturday morning before noon. Opening the library one day a week until 8pm would offer the services to a whole new group of citizens, including school students who depend on a parent to drive them to the library. I highly commend the Library Board and staff for offering to be flexible in their work hours in order to provide the community greater access to these important assets. Please vote for the new library hours to increase access to the library for all members of our community. Regards, Margo Miller --Margo Miller
