Scoring was about as balanced as you could have for the Blue Raiders as Kalen Kimberland led five players in double figures with 13 points. Daronte' Clark and Tony Horne each added 11 and Milos Petrovic and Milton Watts tallied 10 each down low. Clark was 4-for-6 from the field and 3-for-5 from behind the arc, while Chase Cox also hit three 3-pointers on six attempts. Bluefield got 14 points from Byron Carpenter who was the only Ram to reach double figures. Kearston Marion came close with nine points and Josh Nesbit had seven points and six rebounds. The Blue Raiders controlled the glass 43-28, led by Horne and Watts with nine boards each. Lindsey Wilson led by 15 at halftime (38-23) and added 18 points to the deficit in the second half to come away with the 33-point win. Clark also finished with six assists and Horne tallied five as the Lindsey Wilson defense forced the Rams into 17 turnovers with just three assists. With the win the Blue Raiders improve to 16-2 overall and 6-2 in the Mid-South Conference, while the Rams are 6-9 overall and 2-5 in league play. - DAN WHITE This story was posted on 2013-01-11 03:58:58
