Ken Hill announces establishment of auction education service

Business/Education News
With the addition of Kentucky Auction Educators, Columbia's growing educational sector - by most standards Adair County's biggest economic factor, gets another boost and South Central Kentucky auction professionals get a time and money saving way to maintain professional credentials.

By Ed Waggener

Ken Hill, a Kentucky Board of Auctioneers approved auction education provider, announces a new educational business, Kentucky Auction Educators, in Columbia, KY, offering Continuing Education to auctioneers at the VFW Post, 411 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY, starting Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

The school offers another bright spot in the broad spectrum of educational opportunities on the Columbia scene, and makes use of an ideal, existing building to bring essential professional training close to home. The VFW Hall has ample parking, is centrally located, and offers easy access to dining, and other services students want and need.

The course should mean a time and money-saving opportunity for those required to take continuing education courses to maintain Kentucky licenses, Hill said. "Kentucky Auction Educators offers a great opportunity for local auction professionals to get their CE close to home," Ken Hill said.

Every Kentucky licensed auctioneer, apprentice auctioneer, and auction house operator is required to complete 6 hours of auction related continuing education, he said. In fact, the cost for the first 6-hour course is only $40.

The first course for the new school will be "Kentucky Auction Core Course." Costs for the course are kept very low, according to Hill.

For registration, the contact is Ken Hill, Kentucky Auction Educators, at 270-378-1108.
