Christine Fogle, Casey County, KY (1915-2013)

She was a retired school teacher working in the Liberty and Middleburg School systems. She was a member, a former pianist, and Sunday school teacher at the Middleburg Baptist Church. Ms. Christine was a graduate of Campbellsville College and helped initiate the Middleburg Fire Department. She was the former bookkeeper for the Middleburg Cemetery and wrote the Middleburg news column in the Casey County News for years

Christine Fogle passed away Wednesday January 9, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset, KY. She was 97.

Funeral services are at 1pmCT/2pmET. Sunday, January 13, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Don McWhorter officiating. Burial will be in Middleburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 12pm-1pmCT/1pm-2pmET, Sunday at the funeral home.



Christine Fogle, Casey County, KY (1915-2013)

She was born April 23, 1915 in Casey County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Edgar and Cleota Mae Jones Fogle. She died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the agge of 97 years, 8 months, and 16 days.

She was a retired school teacher working in the Liberty and Middleburg School systems. She was a member, a former pianist, and Sunday school teacher at the Middleburg Baptist Church. Ms. Christine was a graduate of Campbellsville College and helped initiate the Middleburg Fire Department. She was the former bookkeeper for the Middleburg Cemetery and wrote the Middleburg news column in the Casey County News for years.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her sister: Cora Mae Cowherd of Greensburg, KY

  • Her nephew: James Morris Cowherd (Pat) of Greensburg, KY

  • Her niece, Betty MacFarland of Campbellsville, KY

  • Great-nephew: Russ Cowherd of Greensburg, KY

  • And two great nieces: Christy Almond of Houston, Texas; and Brooke Cowherd of Franklin, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Fogle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Middleburg Baptist Church.
