Rev. Claud McCubbin, Baptist Evangelist (d. Jan. 9, 2013)

Rev. McCubbin was a highly regarded Missionary Baptist Minister and evangelist for over 50 years. He was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. He was the patriarch of a large, respected family. He leaves 23 direct living descendants

Rev. Claud M. McCubbin age 90 of Hardyville, Kentucky died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at U of L Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT/3pmET, Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Shady Grove Baptist Church, 1777 Center-Peggyville Road, Center, KY, with burial in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, Friday, January 11, 2013, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 S. East Street, Edmonton, KY, and from 11amCT/12pm noon ET, until service time Saturday at the church.

He was the son of the late Charles and Martha Thompson McCubbin.

Rev. McCubbin was a Missionary Baptist Minister and evangelist for over 50 years. He was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son: David (Judy) McCubbin of Hardyville, KY

  • Two daughters: Carol (Kenneth) Douglas of Hardyville, KY; and Linda (Mike) Streck of Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Esther Sanders of Cave City, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Greg and Chris Douglas, Joshua McCubbin, Brenda Horgan, Donna Constant and Vickie Riccardio

  • Twelve great grandchildren

  • Two great great grandchildren
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Toria Rodgers and three brothers, Paul, Carl and Charles McCubbin.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
