Sad word of the passing of 2nd of racing's Combest brothers

Jimmy Combest was member of Joppa, Adair County, KY, horse racing family. He and brother Nick were famous jockeys. Jimmy Combest had second place Derby winner in 1962

Wally Burress writes:
Mr. Waggener, there is a link at TheBloodHorse.com (See Former Jockey Jimmy Combest Dies at 86, stating the death of James "Jimmy" Combest at age 86.

He was a retired jockey, had four Kentucky Derby mounts and finished second in 1962.This leaves Reed as the only surving brother of the three; Nick died a few years ago in New York. Reed is still an owner/trainer in Miami, Fl. I was wondering whether the road at their homeplace was ever named for them? Regards, --Wally Burress
Thanks, Wally Burress: We hope to have more information later, on the road, and other. - EW
