Howard L. Wilson, Edmonton, KY (1932-2013)

Howard Wilson was a member of the Revenna Separate Baptist Church in Edmonton KY where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent, making a big impact on many lives. He worked at Kraft Foods in Summitville, IN; Kroger Milk Plant, Marion IN; and retired from Marion General Motors. Howard enjoyed watching UK basketball but most of all doing really silly stuff with his grandchildren. Howard's biggest favorite saying was "If my children and grandchildren are happy, then I am happy."

Howard L. Wilson 79 of Edmonton, KY, went to be with the Lord on Monday January 7, 2013 while visiting his daughter in Summitville IN.

Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, IN where the family will receive friends 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Funeral service will be at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, January 10, 2013, Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Interment will be at Vinson Cemetery, Summitville, IN.



Howard L. Wilson, Metcalfe County, KY (1932-2013)

Howard was born on December 15,1932. He was the son of the late JC and Inis Wilson. He died Monday, January 7, 2013 in Summitville, Madison County, IN, at the age of 79 years, 23 days.

He married Geneva Wood on December 27, 1950. The couple recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. In addition to his wife Howard L. Wilson is survived by the following:
  • His daughters: Kathy Rector of Summitville, IN and Sandi (George) Thomasson of Edmonton KY

  • Son in law: James Havens of Fairmount, IN

  • Grandchildren Angie (Coby) Huggins of Summitville IN; Bill (Sara) Hart of Edmonton KY; JA (Laura) Hart of Campbellsville KY; Jeremy (PJ) Havens of Carmak IN; Justin (Ashley) Havens of Marion IN; Susan (Johnny) Lopp, Rocky Mt. VA; Kim (James) Bartrum, Marion IN; Brad Thomasson Marion IN

  • Great grandchildren: Shauna and MaKenzie Huggins, Cheyanne and Cody Hart, Logan and Emily Hart, Maggie and Rhamey Havens, Morgan Krabbe, Regan and Rylyn Rutowsski

  • Sister in law: Sarah (John) Creamer

  • Several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
One daughter Susie Havens preceded him in death, sisters Wanda Hurt, Stella White, Mammie Hendricks, Katie Jessie, brothers Osker and Rosker Wilson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Summitville Fire Department or the Revenna Separate Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
