Bro. Arvel Dale Brown, 67, of West Drive, Russell Springs, pastor of the Middletown Community Church, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Russell County Hospital. Russell County, KY.

Funeral service for Arvel Dale Brown will be 1pmCT/2pmET, Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with burial in the Ridge Crest Cemetery. Friends may call after 5pmCT/6pmET, Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at the Bernard Funeral Home. Bro. Wendell Wright will be the officiating clergy. Special music will be rendered by Eddie Brumley.




Pallbearers: Danny Joe Brown, Buddy Conner, Tony King, Zackie Bunch, David Bunch, Charles King.

Bro. Arvel Dale Brown was born Sunday, May 13, 1945 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late William Earl and Lucille (Craig) Brown. He died Sunday, January 6, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 67 years, 7 months, and 24 days.

Survivors include his wife, Reva Bunch Brown, and the following:
  • Seven children: Matthew Brown, Raymond Brown, Troy Dykes, Nissy King, all of Russell Springs, KY; Lissa Keith, Columbia, KY; and Joey Dykes and Teresa Crew, both of Jamestown, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Four brothers and a sister: Danny Joe Brown, Irvin Brown, William Brown, Martha Jean Conner, all of Jamestown, KY; and Marvin Brown, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three half brothers and four half sisters: J.B. Brown, Michael Brown, Jason Brown, Carolyn Reeder, Stella Mann, Betty Mann, Connie Hygate.
