COLUMBIA, KY - A 18-2 run to start the second half solidified a strong opening 20 minutes for the Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team in a 100-69 rout of visiting Miami Hamilton (Ohio) on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Biggers Sports Center.

Five Blue Raiders (14-1) scored in double figures led by Simon Barres' career-high 18 points off the bench. Barres' production helped the Lindsey Wilson reserves to a 60-11 advantage over their counterparts. Tony Horne and Milton Watts scored 10 points each off the bench for the No. 8-ranked Blue Raiders. Kalen Kimberland added 14 points and Darren Ballou chipped in 10 from the starters.

Miami Hamilton's Jamil Huffman led the Harriers (5-9) with 17 points.

Barres made all seven of his shot attempts to best his previous high of 12 points set against Ohio State Mansfield on Nov. 10. He made 4-of-5 from the free throw line to complete his career night.

The Blue Raiders ended the game shooting 50 percent (40-of-80) from the field -- the eighth time this season they have hit at least half of their shots. Lindsey Wilson is 8-0 this season when accomplishing that feat.

While the Blue Raiders flourished on the offensive end, the Harriers made just 42.6 percent (26-of-61) from the field and committed 22 turnovers.

The win extends the Blue Raiders winning streak to 10 straight -- the longest streak since Lindsey Wilson won 11 in a row during the 2008-09 season.

Lindsey Wilson overcame a sluggish start to the game by shooting 61.1 percent (22-of-36) in the first half en route to a 49-33 halftime lead. The Blue Raiders opened the game missing three of their first four shots and committing three turnovers in the first four minutes. However, the mediocre play did not continue as Lindsey Wilson sprinted out to as much as a 16-point first-half lead.

Lindsey Wilson put all doubt of an upset aside in the opening six-plus minutes of the second half with the decisive run.
