Anderson Co. wins Holiday Classic at ACHS

Anderson County used an aggressive defense and size advantage on the interior to come away with the championship crown in the Indians tournament 54-38. The Indians trailed 12-9 after one period and 26-20 at the half.

The Indians were led in scoring by Kel Stotts with 12 points. Rounding out the scoring were Jayden Willis 9, Chance Melton 7, Marshall Shelley 4, Ty Bennett 3, and Matt Fudge 3. Melton pulled down seven rebounds and Willis dished out four assists.



The Bearcats moved ahead 41-30 after three periods and out scored the Indians 13-8 in the fourth period to come away with the 54-38 win.

Anderson County had 13 second chance points to Adair's 0 and 31 rebounds to the Indians 14.

"Our guys played hard but we are going to have to get more physical. They did a good job of taking our transition game away and we really had to work for every point," Coach Mark Fudge said, after his team's loss. Anderson County improved to 6-1 on the season while the Indians dropped to 6-4.
