Home invader holds N. Adair woman at knifepoint before abruptly leaving Adair County Sheriff's Office investigating incident reported by woman whose identity is being withheld for her protection. Only lead, from seeing invader's hand, is that he was a white male. Victim thinks perpetrator entered house while she was taking shower, and hid in wait for her. By Adam Cravens News from the Adair County Sheriff's Office The Adair Sheriff's Office is seeking any information on a home invasion which took place Friday night, December 21, 2012 on Greensburg Road/KY 61 North, Columbia, KY, past Milltown turnoff. The victim was a female who believes the perpetrator entered her home while she was taking a shower and hid. When she later went into her kitchen, a man suddenly came from behind her putting a knife to her neck and told her to be still. The victim stated to investigator she was held there until the perpetrator abruptly left. The woman stayed in the exact spot in her home - afraid to move for fear he was still in the home or just outside before she felt safe enough to move about and leave. The victim did not get to see perpetrators face, but could tell by his hands he was a white male. The victim's name will not be released at this point to protect her anonymity. Anyone with any information or who hears of any information is urged to contact the Adair Sheriff's Office. - Adam Cravens This story was posted on 2012-12-22 05:03:10
