Indians have easy win, 80-48, in first game of Holiday Classic Columbia/Adair County welcomes special sports guests from Burkesville, Campbellsville, Greensburg, Lawrenceburg, Munfordville, Tompkinsville for today's Holiday Classic. Click on headline for complete scoring Thursday, December 20, 2012, four game schedule starting at 1:30pmCT/2:30pmET, at John Burr Memorial Gymnasium on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College Special to ColumbiaMagazine.com The Adair County Indians came away with an 80-48 win over the Washington County Commanders and advanced to the semi-finals of the winners bracket of their own Holiday Classic tournament, last night, Thursday, December 20, 2012. Coach Mark Fudge played 16 players with 10 of those getting double figure minutes in the easy win. Scoring: The Tribe was led by Chance Melton's 15 points and five rebounds. Also scoring in double figures were Ty Bennett 13, and Zach Hutchison ten points. Matt Fudge added eight pointst and handed out a team high five assists. Other scoring: Tanner Pooler 9, Jayden Willis 7, Jake Hixson 5, Colton Back 5, Kel Stotts 4, Marshall Shelley 2, Gabriel Alfaro 2. The Indians face rival Green County tonight. The Dragons defeated Cumberland County 73-54. In other first round games Anderson County downed Hart County 73-47 and Monroe County defeated Campbellsville 53-34. The Holiday Classic for Friday, December 21, 2012 - 02:30pmCT/3:30pmET - Campbellsville vs. Hart CountyGames will be played Friday at the John Burr Memorial Gym located at 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. Admission is $5 and all ACHS pep club members and ACHS Middle School girls and boys players will be admitted free. Sponsors are Lindsey Wilson College and First and Farmers National Bank.
