Joan Arford, age 60 years of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 12:40amET, at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, at Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 10amCT/11amET, Saturday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.



Joan Arford, Adair County, KY (1952-2012)


She was born in Joliet, Illinois on Sunday, February 10, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Ivan and Thelma Lee "Lou" Furkins Carter. She died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Ky, at the age of 60 years, 10 months, and 2 days.

Joan was a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Terry Arford II & wife Grace of Russell Springs, KY; and Michael Arford of Michigan

  • Three grandchildren: Adrienne Arford, Terry Arford III, Austin Arford

  • A special friend and caregiver: Jessica Sapp of Campbellsville, KY
