Birds of Kentucky: Relative rarity of hawks make them special Comments re photo 47872 Birds of Kentucky Red Shouldered Hawk by Kay Haupt Heather Evans writes: I love hawks, I don't see them very often so that makes them even more special. They are the royalty of the avians, not to downplay all the beautiful song birds. A good lens makes for a great picture, which I do not have, but perhaps it's moot as I usually see them while I am driving. - Heather EvansThanks: For the insight on hawks. They evolved into incredible creatures. Bird photography is as tough or as simple as you want to make it. Hope you'll try your hand and find the standard which makes you happy. -CM This story was posted on 2012-12-14 06:10:42
