Violet Adams, Casey County, KY (1919-2012)

She was a native of Wayne County, KY, and the matriarch of a highly regarded Casey County family. She was the wido of Dr. Kearney R. Adams. She leaves four direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and member of Liberty First Baptist Church.

Violet Adams passed away Sunday December 9, 2012 at the Casey County Hospital. She was 93.

Funeral services are 12pm noon CT/1pmET/, Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9amET/8 Wednesday at the funeral home from 8amCT/9amET, until the time of funeral service.

She was born October 3, 1919 in Wayne County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Hilary and Vina Koger Gregory. She died Sunday, December 9, 2012, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 6 days.

She was a homemaker and member of Liberty First Baptist Church.

She was the widow of Dr. Kearney R. Adams, who preceded her in death on September 25, 1987.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Kearney R. Adams, Jr. of Mr. Vernon, KY

  • A daughter: Shirley (David) Morgan of Liberty, KY

  • A grandchild

  • A great grandchild
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Gregory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY. Send a condolence to the family of Violet Adams
