Ollis Bradley Sexton, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. Dec. 7, 2012)

He was the patriarch of a highly regarded family centered around Adair and Metcalfe Counties of Kentucky. He leaves eight direct living descendants. He was a retired carpenter and US Army veteran. He was a member of the Prices Creek Baptist Church, in Adair County, KY.

Ollis Bradley Sexton age 79 of Edmonton died Friday, December 7, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held 1:30pmCT/2:30pmET, Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Bragg Cemetery, 100 Bragg Cemetery Road, Adair County, KY. Visitation will be from 11amCT/12pm noon CT, Monday, December 10, 2012, until 8pmCT/9pmET and after 9amCT/10amET, Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was the son of the late Oscar and Lillie Morgan Sexton.

Ollis was a retired carpenter and US Army veteran. He was a member of the Prices Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Jean Sexton of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Billy and wife Lisa Sexton of Louisville, KY

  • One daughter: Debbie Buchanan and husband Roger of Glasgow, KY

  • Two brothers: Kenneth Sexton of Edmonton, KY; and Bennie Sexton of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Inis Shirley of Glasgow, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Brad (Erin) Buchanan, Scott Buchanan, Morgan and Abigail Sexton.

  • Two great grandchildren: Johnathan and Lilly Buchanan
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
