The Columbia Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.The incident occurred around 8:30pmCT. on this date near the soccer field at Lindsey Wilson College. The victim while walking, was approached by a man wearing a mask, armed with a gun, and demanding money.

The perpetrator fled on foot, and the victim sustained no injuries. Perpetrator is described as a white male, approximately 5' 10:, 170 lbs. wearing dark clothing, and a black ski mask during the robbery. Investigation is pending, and anyone with information can contact the Columbia Police Department, or any law enforcement agency. The Columbia Police Department was assisted by the Adair County Sheriff's Department. Columbia Police Department
