Edna Edith DeVore, Metcalfe County, KY (d. Dec. 4, 2012)

She was the matriarch of a highly regarded Metcalfe County, KY family. She was the widow of Harvey DeVore and the daughter of the late Crit and Myrtie Beasley. She leaves 9 direct living descendants.

Edna Edith DeVore age 94 of Edmonton died Tuesday December 4, 2012 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be 2pmCT, Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Randolph, Metcalfe County, KY. Visitation will be Friday, from 10amCT, until service time at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of the late Crit and Myrtie Beasley.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Suzanne (Wendell) Mosby of Edmonton, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Marnita (Kenny) McIntyre of Summer Shade, KY; Ricky (Kim) Mosby of Edmonton, KY; and Eric (Sherry) Perkins of Glasgow, KY

  • Four great grandchildren: Danielle and Adam Hornek and Haley and Ethan Perkins

  • One great great grandchild: Aubrey Thompson
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harvey DeVore, one son Jerry Perkins, one brother James Beasley, and one sister Helen Francis.
