Adair Homemakers gathering mittens, gloves for Sandy victims

By Kelli Bonifer

The Adair County Extension Homemaker’s Association needs help to gather gloves and mittens for those affected by Super Storm Sandy.

With the cold weather upon us, the Adair County Extension Homemaker’s are asking for donations of gloves and mittens to help those who are still struggling to recover from the after effects of those storms.

They can be dropped off at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service located at 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY. The Homemaker’s will be sending them to the American Cleaning Institute. Donations of gloves and mittens need be received by Thursday, December 13, 2012.

The Adair County Extension Homemaker’s appreciate your help. Contact Kelli Bonifer, Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences at 270-384-2317.

The project is a joint effort with the American Cleaning Institute and the American Association for Family & Consumer Sciences in their Warm Hearts, Warm Hands Project. - Kelli Bonifer County Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY
