2012 Metcalfe County Christmas Parade is December 8, 2012 Theme is "Christmas Treasures." Metcalfe's own Black Stone Cherry Band will be the Grand Marshal of the Parade By Gay Shaw The Metcalfe County Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 8, 2012, starting at 1pmCT at Edmonton Elementary, 104 N. Hornet Avenue, Edmonton, KY and the parade will proceed to Downtown Edmonton and circle the Square and then return to the school. The Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce conducts the parade. This year's parade theme is "Christmas Treasures" submitted by Edmonton Elementary first grade student Kassady London. Kassady received twenty-five Metcalfe Dollars and will ride with Santa in the parade. Metcalfe County's very own Black Stone Cherry Band will be the parade Grand Marshal of the parade. The parade will follow the same route as in previous years, with the exception of beginning at Edmonton Elementary, 104 N. Hornet Avenue, Edmonton, KY, instead of the middle school. Signs and or volunteers will direct persons as to where floats, etc. will park for lineup. The parade will proceed to the and circle the square and then return to the school. All registration forms should be returned to the Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce office, 109 E. Stockton Street, Edmonton, KY, by 12pm noon CT, Friday, December 7, 2012. However; one may register 9am-11amCT, Saturday, December 8, 2012. Entries arriving after 11amCt. may be in the parade, but are not guaranteed to be judged.
