Hazardous Weather 2:52amCT, Tuesday, December 4, 2012. "ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ALONG AND AHEAD OF A PASSING COLD FRONT THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING HOURS. BRIEF HEAVY RAIN AND CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE THE MAIN THREATS FROM ANY STORM"

The National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, has issued the following forecast for Columbia, KY. This forecast Updated on TUESDAY, 4 Dec 2012, 3:35amCT

Overnight - A 20 percent chance of showers after 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. South wind around 7 mph.

Tuesday - Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. High near 66. Southwest wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. .

Tuesday night - Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11pm, then a chance of showers between 11pm and midnight. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 43. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
