Benita Montgomery, 89, of Jamestown Street, Russell Springs, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY. Funeral service for Benita Montgomery will be 10amCT, Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Russell Springs Christian Church, 315 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with burial in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:30pmCT Friday, November 30, 2012, at the church. The officiating clergy will be Rev. Carroll Egnew, Rev. Jared Graves, Ryan Morrison Special music will be by Dean and Sheila McKinley and Phyllis Egnew. Benita Montgomery, Russell Springs, KY (1923-2012) She was born Friday, April 6, 1923 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Gillium and Hattie Lee Harvey Akin. She died Wednesday, November 28, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years 7 months and 22 days. She was a homemaker and a member of the Russell Springs Christian Church, Russell Springs, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Montgomery; two sisters, Mabel Harvey, Hilma Burton; and two brothers, Ray Akin and Ralph Akin. She is survived by the following:
