Walnut Grove Road: Happy to have new bridge there

Remembers both how hard it was to travel the road and the many good times with his Bennetts and neighbors: the Turners, the Grants, anb Burbridges, who were all there before the Griders
Comments about: Walnut Grove Bridge project 16th of CJE Ann Melton Era

By Kenneth Bennett

I am really glad there is a bridge now on the Walnut Grove Road.

I remember when it was always so hard to get across the creek, and when the road would have deep ruts so deep it was almost impassible.

I was born in the house on top of the hill and lived there until I was a freshman in high school .

I can remember playing in the creek, in the 1950s and 1960s, with my brothers and cousins, with homemade toys. I walked the creek as a kid.

I knew the families who lived on that road such as the Turners, Grants, Burbridges who were there before the Griders, and of course the Bennetts.

So many good memories from simple things and blessed to have a family and great neighbors. Kenneth Bennett
