She was a member of a large, highly regarded Adair County, KY, family. She is survived by her husband, Raymond "Pete" Curry. She leaves 12 direct living descendants. Mrs. Curry was a member of Bearwallow United Methodist Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

Doretta Curry age 80 years of Taylor Ford Road, Columbia, KY passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 at 9:14pmCT,. at Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 3:30pmCT, Sunday, November 25, 2012, at the funeral home.

She was born on August 25, 1932 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late William David and Sarah McQueary Streeval. She died Friday, November 23, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 29 days.

She is survived by her husband Raymond "Pete" Curry of Columbia, KY and the following:
  • Two sons: Steven Curry and wife Mary of Brentwood, TN; and Raymond Douglas Curry of Murfreesboro, TN

  • Three daughters: Karen Elaine Bell and husband James of Murfreesboro, TN; Pamela Jean Acey (late husband Danny) of Somerset, KY; Cynthia Page and husband Glen of Smyrna, TN

  • Six Grandchildren: Spence Curry, Sam Curry, Scott Bell, Carrie Bell, Sarah Page and Jacob Page

  • One great grandchild: Abbigail Grace Curry

  • Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters Ernest, Everett and Vi Streeval Elzada Burton, Lavada Brown and Millie Rose

Mrs. Curry was a member of Bearwallow United Methodist Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, in charge of funeral arrangements
