Man charged in Deputy Rakes murder released from UL Hospital

COLUMBIA - 49-year-old Dewayne Shipp, who was charged on Wednesday, November 14,, 2012 with the Murder of Marion County Deputy Sheriff Anthony Rakes, was released today from University Hospital in Louisville, KY. . He was transported to the Kentucky State Reformatory in La Grange, KY due to the infirmary facilities available at the state prison. Shipp continues to recover from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the leg that required surgery. The case remains under investigation. - TFC William Gregory
