Commentary: The Special Bond one has with a pet

Remembrances of two special dogs . . . they never were mad at me, never hurt me, never asked anything of me, but to love them and pay some attention to them - TODD WILSON

I agree so much with Jon Halsey.

If you have never had the special bond one has between a pet. You cannot understand the loss you feel.

Myself, I hate the thought of having to put another part of my family to sleep. It is something you never think about when they are puppies, and falling all over the place while you smile.

You don't think of it when they are grown and powerful, and protecting you with their life if need be.

You don't think of it when they are getting grey around their eyes and sleeping more around your feet.

And in the end you don't want to think that it is the best thing for your life long friend to take his/her last breath because it hurts them just to wake up in the morning.

I feel the pain everytime I think about the two Special Dogs I've had this relationship with.

And then I think of how many times when I felt bad, in a bad mood, wanted to be by myself, and they would come up and lick or make me get up and quit feeling sorry for myself.

For they never were mad at me, never hurt me, never asked anything of me, but to love them and pay some attention to them.

They were always there for me and anyone else who has had this special bond. God Bless... --Todd
