Mid-South Conference Football academic awards announced

Lindsey Wilson tied for second most members

COLUMBIA, KY - A total of 19 football student-athletes earned Academic All-Mid South Conference honors for Lindsey Wilson this season.

Among the Blue Raiders honored were Charlie Mullennex, Trey Knecht, Caleb Bogard, Ryan Locker, Dakota Cogdill, Tanner Strein, Jake Vulhop, Matt Powers, Austin Shirley, Shane Latham, Chase Simpson, Keith Couch, Branden Cresap, Jeff Boards, Corrion Cooper, Jon Smith, Mark Corbett, Jake Lawrence and Lee Sutton.

Cumberland University (Lebanon, TN) led the way with 31 total members, followed by Lindsey Wilson College and Bethel University (McKenzie, TN) tied with 19.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status. The all-conference team awards will be announced on Thursday, November 15, 2012. - Charles Balcom
