Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY LEBANON, KY - 49-year-old Dewayne Shipp has been charged with Murder - Police Officer in the death of 31-year-old Marion County Deputy Sheriff Carl Anthony Rakes. Shipp is currently being transported to University Hospital in Louisville where he is being treated for a self inflicted gunshot wound. It is unknown when he sustained the wound. An autopsy will be performed on Deputy Raikes today at the Medical Examiner's office in Louisville. - TFC WM.
