Robert Jesse Loy age 80 years of Columbia, KY passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at 9:45amET, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Bro. Terry White and Rev. William R. Davenport the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, with full military honors presented by local VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, Wednesday, November 14, 2012.

Pallbearers: Glenn Barry Loy, Matt Loy, David Pyles, Randy Cundiff, Roger Cundiff, Norman Akin, Philip Akin and Robert Montgomery.

Honorary Pallbearers: Terry Akin, Bobby Morrison, Rabon "Toon" Burton, Fred Miller, Bruce Loy, Chuck Sharp, Barry Myers, Charles Sparks, Russell Loy, Vista Perkins, Jimmy Bennett and Dale Petty

He was born on Monday, April 4, 1932 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Millard and Lydia Stone Loy. He died Monday, November 12, 2012, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 80 years, 7 months, and 8 days.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Montgomery Loy, of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Dennis Loy and wife Lisa of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandsons: Dustin Warren and Grant Loy

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters Dr. Millard C. Loy, Esther Cox, Cecil Akin and Florence Dooley.
