Ruth Ann Firkins, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. Nov. 10, 2012)

She was the matriarch of a large, respected Metcalfe County family. She was the daughter of the late Otis and Kathryn England Firkins. She leaves nine direct living descendants and two step descendants.

Ruth Ann Firkins, age 65 of Edmonton, KY, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at her home.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Antioch Cemetery in Sparksville, KY. Visitation will be Monday, November 12, 4pm-8pmCT, at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of the late Otis and Kathryn England Firkins.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons: Dale and Stephen Hagan both of Edmonton, KY; and Robert Hagan of Scottsville, KY

  • Two daughters: Cindy (Chris) Lollar of Edmonton, KY; and Karen Capshaw of Knob Lick, KY

  • Son in law: Charlie Capshaw of Edmonton, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Jessica Ennis, Beverly Ennis, Brittany Ennis, Kayla Ennis all of Edmonton, KY

  • Two sisters: Shirley Jean Coop of Glasgow, KY; and Frances Wilson of Florida

  • Two step grandchildren : Chase Lollar of Clarksville, KY; and William Capshaw of London, KY
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by infant daughter Debbie Lynn Hagan, nephew Tim Wilson, and great nephew Jason Bunch.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
