He was retired from the Ford Motor Company and a Navy veteran. Mr. Watson was a member of the Henry Christian Church. He will be accorded full military honors by the Casey County Funeral Squad

Eugene Franklin Watson passed away Tuesday November 6, 2012 at his home in New Castle, KY. He was 81.

Funeral services are 2pmET/1pmCT, Saturday November 10, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Nick Coleman and Bro. Ed Berry officiating. Burial will at Casey County Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Casey County Funeral Squad. Visitation is 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Friday, November 9, 2012, at the funeral home.

Eugene Franklin Watson, Casey County, KY (1931-2012)

Born July 1, 1931 in Casey County, KY. He was the son of the late Robert F. and Mary Etta Clements Watson. He died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, in New Castle, Henry County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 5 days.

He was retired from the Ford Motor Company and a Navy veteran. Mr. Watson was a member of the Henry Christian Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • His beloved wife: Lucy Grider Watson of New Castle, KY

  • His son: Tim Watson of New Castle, KY

  • Two daughters: Sharon Heady of Fishersville, KY; and Teresa Jones of Bedford, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Three great-grandchildren

  • A brother, Jerry Watson of Mason, Ohio

  • And four sisters, Christine Moore and Ivadean Short, both of Liberty, KY; Lois Black of Mason, Ohio; and Ethel Morris of Pisgah, Ohio
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Lola Witt, Lee Juniper and Evelyn Graham.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
