Harold Morton, Jr., 57, of Columbia, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 1:25pmET at the Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1pmCT,. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Pastor Bob McCann officiating. Burial in Bearwallow Cemetery, 6080 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Friday, November 9, 2012.



Harold Morton, Jr., Adair County, KY (1955-2012)

He was born Wednesday, August 10, 1955, in New Castle, Henry County, Indiana. He was the son of the late Harold and Florine G. Hill Morton. He died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 57 years, 9 months, and 28 days.

He was a former construction worker and farmer.

Survivors include:
  • One brother: Marvin Morton and his companion, Dorothy March, of Columbia, KY

  • One niece: Crystal Morton Miller, one great-niece, Savannah Miller, one great-nephew, Donovan Morton all of Columbia, KY

  • Three uncles and one aunt: Herman, Donnie and Billy Hill all of Burkesville, Avalene Starnes of Albany, KY

  • Special cousins: Earl Morrison, Barbara Arms, Betty Long and Gayle Gross all of Burkesville, KY

  • Special friends: Raymond Loy and Odell Tabor both of Columbia, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
