J.T. Shepherd, 75, Jewell Street, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.

Services will be at Jamestown City Cemetery, N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 12pm noon CT, on Friday, November 2, 2012, with Bro. Garnett Hammond officiating. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Friday, November 2, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

J.T. Shepherd was born Tuesday, March 2, 1937, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Lucian Shepherd and the late Ada Pearl Shepherd. He died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

He was a machine operator and served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Harmon Shepherd, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Kathy Melson, Russell Springs, KY; and Norma Lawless, Fort Mitchell, KY

  • Two sons: David Shepherd, London, KY; and Darrell Shepherd, Jamestown, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren
  • Sisters: Gladys Irvin, Helen Rigney, and Pearlie Irvin, all of Russell Springs, KY
  • Brother: Roy Shepherd, Russell Springs, KY
he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Frances Gaskin Shepherd.

Wilson Funeral Home, 391 Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
