LWC's Frigge captures 2nd MSC Women's Soccer Weekly Award

COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College's Josephine Frigge is the Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the award period ending October 28, 2012 conference officials announced on Monday, October 29, 2012.



The honor is Frigge's second of the season and of her career.

Frigge ended last week with six saves, while splitting a pair of games last week.

The Borgeby, Sweden, native did not face a shot in her 45 minutes of action in the Blue Raiders' 7-0 win over Pikeville (Pikeville, KY) to open the week. The freshman goalkeeper stopped six shots in a 1-0 double-overtime loss to No. 14 Martin Methodist (Pulaski, TN) to close the week.

Frigge continues to lead the MSC and ranks seventh in the NAIA with a 0.43 goals-against-average.

The second-ranked Blue Raiders are 12-3-1 overall and captured the MSC Regular-Season Championship with a 9-0 league record.
