Cordelia (Jackie) Compton, 79, Metcalfe Co., KY (1933-2012) She was the matriarch of a large, respected family with deep roots in her native Metcalfe County and her adopted Barren County, KY home. She was the widow of Carl Royal Compton and worked as a custodian in Edmonton for the Post office, city building and numerous other businesses in Edmonton and will be greatly missed Cordelia "Jackie" Compton age 79 of Glasgow formerly of Edmonton died October 27, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, October 30, 2012, and after 9amCT, Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the funeral home. Cordelia (Jackie) Compton, 79, Metcalfe Co., KY (1933-2012) She was born Monday, August 21, 1933 in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Bessie Poynter Gardner. She died Saturday, October 27, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 2 months, and 6 days. She was the wife of the late Carl Royal Compton. Mrs. Compton worked as a custodian in Edmonton for the Post office, city building and numerous other businesses in Edmonton. She is survived by the following:
