Adair Co. Garden Club can help prepare to do battle in the garden

By Barbara Armitage
Adair County Garden Club

The Adair County Garden Club together with Day and Day Feed and Pet will offer Garden Solutions - a Guide to Fighting Pests and Diseases at 1pmCT, Thursday, November 15, 2012 in the basement of the Columbia/Adair Chamber of Commerce, 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY. Everyone is invited to attend this free class.

Often when gardeners experience plant problems they are given a lengthy chemical name as a solution. By the time they actually find the spelling for this 12 syllable word and track it down the plant is dead of whatever was killing it. This class will help you eliminate this disconnect between problem and solution.

Learn how to choose the right lawn or garden product for your problem or pest including organic solutions for chemical free gardening.

This is a free class offered to the community by the Adair County Garden Club with Day and Day Feed and Pet. Preregistration would be appreciated. To register please contact Barbara Armitage at 270-250-2979.

The Garden Club meets at 1pmCT on the 4th Thursday of each month in a variety of locations. (The November meeting is the 3rd Thursday because of Thanksgiving.) Each meeting is designed to expand your knowledge of gardening techniques, landscape ideas, environmental issues, natural resources, birds, wildlife and more.

There are no fees or dues to be a member of the Garden Club and everyone is welcome.

We are committed to making Adair County a more beautiful, safer and healthier place to live. Adair County Garden Club members take pride in our community and invite you join us and make a difference. - Barbara Armitage
