Lillian Cox Davis passed away Wednesday October 24, 2012 at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was 91.

Funeral services are 2pmET/1pmCT, Monday October 29, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Johnny Patton officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 29, 2012, from 12pm noon ET/11amCT, until funeral service.

Lillian Cox Davis, Casey County, KY (1921-2012)

Born August 5, 1921 in Casey County, KY , she was the daughter of the late Walter and Nannie Bell Lane Redford. She died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, in Indianapolis, Marion County, KY, at the age of 91 years, 2 months, and 19 days.

She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.

Ms. Lillian is the widow of Fred Cox and Junior Davis.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Ronnie Cox of Indianapolis, Indiana and Kenneth Cox of Vancleve, Mississipp

  • Five daughters: Judy Moncel and Betty Cox of Indianapolis, Indiana" Diana Lee of Ft. Wayne, Indiana" and Linda Lee and Hazel Wethington of Liberty, KY

  • A step daughter, Judy Phillips of Liberty, KY

  • Twenty grandchildren

  • and several great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne and Jerry Cox; two daughters, Margaret Owishes and Patsy Perry ; and step son, Roger Dale Davis.
