COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College National Alumni Association will honor two alumni and one longtime friend of the college at this year's homecoming weekend.

LWC's 81st-annual homecoming weekend will be held Friday-Saturday, November 2-3, 2012, on the college's A.P. White Campus.

In addition to the annual alumni awards breakfast, the weekend will include a classical music concert, pingpong tournament, road race, basketball games, a football game and a rededication of the college's historic V.P. Henry Auditorium, 210 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia, KY.

"It's always great to have everyone back on campus -- to both see the incredible changes that have taken place over the last decade as well as catch up with old friends," said LWC Director of Alumni Relations Randy Burns. "This weekend will be a wonderful celebration of three special friends of the college, and it will also be great to rededicate V.P. Henry Auditorium."

At the alumni awards breakfast on November 3, 2012, alumni Amanda Main of Louisville, KY, and Ben Breeding of Bardstown, KY, will be honored and Tula Peterson of Campbellsville, KY, will be named an honorary alumna.

A 1997 LWC graduate, Main is a senior attorney at Brown-Forman Corp. who is a strong First Amendment advocate; she will receive the Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Breeding is a 1961 alumnus who retired from a distinguished career in chemicals and manufacturing; he will receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Peterson is a longtime supporter of the college's scholarship program; with the Honorary Alumna Award, she will join five of her siblings, who are LWC graduates.

November 2 homecoming events will include the 12th-Annual Morris Shepherd '53 Pingpong, season-opening games for the LWC men's and women's basketball teams, and a concert by world-class violinist Midori and pianist Ozgur Aydin.

The weekend will conclude with a 7pmCT rededication of the college's 87-year-old V.P.
