Louvern Lee, 88 years of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 8:47amCT at her home after several months illness.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Raymond Martin, Bro. Terry White and Bro. Freeman Reece the officiating clergy. Interment will in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. The family request visitation after 3pmCT on Friday, September 28, 2012, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Louvern Lee was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Maggie Velma Reece Sneed She was born Thursday, January 17, 1924 in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY. She died Thursday, September 27, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 9 months, and 10 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Sam Lee on September 1, 2004 and by these siblings: Ovie Wilson, Garlan Wilson, Lewis Wilson, Carl Wilson, Geneva Harper, Coy Reece, Chester Reece, Amos Reece, Carl Reece, Curtis Reece, Charles Reece, Rollin Reece, Polly England, Ruby Burton, Dimple Lee, Christine Bradshaw and by a great granddaughter, Brooklyn Lee.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Phyllis Caldwell and husband Billy of Columbia, KY

  • Two sons: Delphus Lee and wife: Cindy of Columbia, KY and Eddie Lee and wife, Mayrene of Columbia, KY

  • Eight grandchildren; Barbie Miller, Brian Lee, Craig Lee, Bradley Caldwell, Stephen Caldwell, Jennifer Caldwell, Lindsay Sloan, Chelsey Lee

  • One step grandchild; Kristy Froggett

  • Seven great grandchildren; Kaitlyn Miller, Blake Miller, Maddex Lee, Lennox Lee, Zayne Lee, Brianna Caldwell, Emma Caldwell

  • One brother; Freeman Reece of Louisville, KY

  • A special friend; Cindy Hardy of Columbia, KY

  • And a host nieces, nephews and friends.
She was a member of the Columbia Christian Church, operator of Sneed and Lee Grocery for 24 years, a child care provider for several years and a homemaker.
